Mosquito Creek Basin

Novo owns an approximately 1,900 sq km package of tenements covering the majority of the prospective targets in and around the Mosquito Creek Basin, a gold-fertile, faulted and folded sedimentary sequence east of Nullagine. On the western margin of the basin, gold has shed into conglomerate beds, creating the stacked auriferous lenses that form the Beatons Creek gold deposit. Further east, mineralised conglomerates such as at Golden Eye represent another compelling target, with buckshot textured pyrite mapped over 600 metres strike.

Novo is committed to unlocking value from the district by applying a systems approach to exploration.  The objective is to conduct targeted exploration focussing on making new discoveries close to existing infrastructure. A basin-wide approach to exploration and targeting is in progress, using new data sets and state of the art techniques to explore new tenure and under shallow cover. Significant prospects that are being progressed including Finucane and Sayshell.
